Shane Feltham

I'm a lead developer with over 20 years of experience, working across the full project lifecycle from concept and architecture through development, deployment, monitoring and continuous iteration. My background runs from custom WordPress theme and plugin development to modern React and headless architecture (Gatsby, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Netlify and Cloudflare), with a UX foundation rooted in the conversion and journey work I did at Amigo Loans earlier in my career.

I've worked at serious scale. For a global wealth manager I brought development in-house, moved hosting to AWS, and led the migration of a 17-plus site estate from WordPress to a component-based React stack serving distinct products and markets. I led an 18 to 24 month Dynamics 365 CRM integration across the business, built a company intranet on Microsoft SSO, and was lead front-end developer on a client app serving over 20,000 clients and 450 advisers, with biometric authentication, real-time portfolio tracking and native iOS and Android builds via Capacitor. That work helped drive a 750% increase in organic search visibility and grew tracked revenue from digital to over $4.5 million.

Over the last year I've focused heavily on integrating AI into how I work and how a business runs. I've moved well beyond simple chat-based assistance to using AI right across the process: debugging, writing and reviewing code, design, UI testing and automating business workflows, often with custom tools that plug straight into the platforms we rely on. Done properly it speeds up production, raises quality and sharpens decisions. For me it isn't about replacing the craft, it's about learning to use AI to be a better version of yourself, and building that discipline into how we deliver for clients.

I've run Full Stack Media, my freelance and contract practice, since 2013, working with clients across a wide range of industries. The variety keeps me sharp, and the cross-pollination of platforms and techniques feeds back into everything I do. Recent projects include knottinghillfarmhouse.com, the redevelopment of fullstackmedia.co.uk, and an upcoming launch for a wealth management client managing over $200 million for 600 clients across the Middle East, South Africa and the UK. I'm as comfortable making architectural decisions and mentoring developers as I am writing the code myself.

Outside work I'm a keen hiker and have taken on a number of ultra hiking challenges around the 60km mark across the Jurassic Coast and the mountains of the UK, with more planned further afield. I'm also helping my two children navigate grammar school assessments and the 11 plus, a useful reminder that GCSE history is harder than I remembered.
